The effort, which was funded by anonymous donors, focused on the Biden administration’s push to ban menthol cigarettes, which Black smokers are more likely to use, according to research cited by the FDA. “Leadership is about setting priorities. Instead of banning menthol cigarettes, President Biden should: Stop the flow of illegal drugs in our country; make groceries more affordable; make college more affordable,” read the mail piece.
